The "Flexi-Proofer" provides an inexpensive and rapid means of proofing and matching ink colours - accurately simulating the results which would be obtained on a full scale Flexo printing press.

The Weller "Flexi-Proofer" is a high quality instrument which consists of a bright polished chromium plated frame, retaining an Anilox engraved hard chrome plated screen roller and a rubber printing (stereo) roller.

As with a Flexographic printing press, the Anilox screen roller is precision engraved with a formation of identical pyramidal cells - thus ensuring an exact and constant flow of ink to the rubber printing (stereo) roller.

Operation

Operation of the Flexi-Proofer is simple; the instrument is held so that the rubber roller contacts the substrate (board, paper, film etc) and a small quantity of ink is placed between the ‘nip’ of the rubber and the Anilox screen rollers. The unit is then drawn across the substrate being printed on and a band of colour 74mm in width is produced.

Cleaning

Dismantling the instrument, for cleaning or changing roller, is extremely fast. Simply turn the two wing nut fasteners, slide the frame ‘arms’ apart and remove the rollers.
