Operation

Operation of Flow Cups is straightforward:  the cup is held (preferably in a Flow Cup Stand), the nozzle is closed and the cup filled with the required fluid. Surplus fluid is wiped from the edge of the cup. The nozzle is opened and the efflux time measured (the first break off in the fluid is the time usually noted).  Reference should be made to  temperatures of fluid & cup during tests where recommended.

Cleaning

After use, the cup should be carefully cleaned, with particular care being taken to clean the nozzle. (No hard or sharp implements should be used).
